Oh, Brothers

While we were sad to

see Kyle Lowder leave

Salem as Rex, the build-

up to his exit brought his

character’s undercover

love triangle to a satisfying

boil, as Rex’s bride, Sarah,

let her love for Eric slip in

a sleepy mutter as she lay

next to her hubby. It was

a rude awakening for Rex,

who refused to buy her

lame excuses (exhaustion,

too much MSG), forcing

Sarah (finally!) to be hon-

est with Rex and admit

that her heart pined for

his sib. This set the stage

for an intense brother-vs.-

brother face-off, with Eric

insisting that he’d never

wanted to hurt Rex, and

Rex bitterly accusing Eric

of destroying his marriage,

his life and Brady’s life,

too. Now that Sarah and

Rex’s ill-advised union

has bit the dust, she and

Eric can at last explore

their feelings out in the

open and strengthen their

bond — which we sus-

pect will come in handy,

with their next big chal-

lenge (Xander? The real

Nicole?) surely waiting in

the wings.

Kevin and Laura are one

of Port Charles’s most pop-

ular duos, and they were

presented with a supreme-

ly hefty obstacle when

Kevin concealed from his

wife that his twin brother,

psycho killer Ryan, was

alive. Ryan ended up

taking over Kevin’s life,

dumping a heartbroken

and confused Laura, and

going on a killing spree.

A few months back, the

Collinses reunited in fabu-

lous scenes at Ferncliff,

and their marriage is now

back on track. The prob-

lem is, their reconciliation

happened almost instantly,

and we have barely seen
