specialist HiSpec Motorsport has
just announced the release of
its new and improved range of
Mechanical Spot Calipers. They’re
designed specifi cally for use in
lightweight sports and racing cars.
The new Version 3 range is of a
completely new design and benefi ts
from an improved lightweight
construction which amounts to
a total weight of approximately
800g per caliper. Each remains fully
adjustable, meaning they can be
fi tted to a wide variety of rear disc
applications.
The new addition to the range
is now HiSpec’s most powerful
mechanical handbrake caliper to
date, and has twice the pad area of
the preceding model, which means
it can provide more than double
the clamping force as well. And
each kit comes with the handbrake
cable attached to ease fi tment at

Simon Skelding has sold on the
Volkswagen suspension upgrade
kit manufacturer to Dutch kit car
concern Van Grinsven Classics. It’s
move that will most likely protect
the European and worldwideprovided below.

premises on the A52 near Grantham, Lincolnshire, where it’s
about to open a new body and trim shop.
The new operation is to trade under the Route 52 Auto
Body Centre banner, where it will soon be able to off er
custom bodywork, trim and paint services for both kit and
non-kit car related projects.
The Avalanche and Evolution GT manufacturer and car
modifi cation specialist has also confi rmed that its offi ces
and workshops on High Church Street, Nottingham, will
