Floor vent safe
A fake floor heat register gives ample room
to store a whole trove of treasure. Before
you commit to cutting a hole in the floor,
locate the floor joists with a stud finder, and
choose a spot away from existing ductwork.
Install phony ductwork under the hole if the
ceiling below the floor isn’t finished.An undetectable cache
There’s a little space inside a CO detector for small
items. Install it somewhere in addition to, not in place
of, your working detectors. Never disassemble a
smoke detector. Some of them contain tiny amounts
