China,FatherArmandDavid(1826-1900),thefirstEuropeanto
describetheshrub.SeedofB. davidiiwassentto theFrench
seed firm Vilmorin, and the first plants went on sale in the 1890s.

gutteringthathasn’t been cleaned
outin a while!

such inhospitable situations, yet they
