TALL ORDER
Gangotri National

Park, Uttarakhand
In this photo, the mighty
Himalayas seem like a wall,
standing tall and firm.
When I took this shot, I was
thinking of the significance
of the Himalayas and what
they mean for India – one of
the nation’s most dominating
geographical features, the
Himalayas have affected lives
and shaped the destiny of the
nation in a way that’s unlike
any other geographical feature.
Had there been no Himalayas,
the whole of India would have
been a desert in the absence
of precipitation, and winter
would have been severe.
