Platz have almost come full circle this month by releasing the fi nal instalments of their original line of 1:144 scale kits, their venerable F-8 Crusader
double kit being among these reissues. This is possibly one of my favourite injected plastic kits of the last 20 years and still sets the bar for how
amazing this scale can be in term of production quality, design, accuracy, simplicity and fun! I have built 4 of these kits already and I can assure you,
I’ll be building a whole lot more again soon.
If this news wasn’t already wholesome enough for you, I can also tell you that Platz have released their classic FW-190 and Shiden-Kai as well, the
former being the subject of a recent Eduard collaboration as seen in the last issue.
We might yet see Eduard do the same for the entire classic Platz range, making it is easier and more affordable for people living in Europe to
acquire these kits. Fingers crossed.
