You can now limit the time your child
spends each day on various app
categories, such as social media or games.
Tick the categories you want to limit, and
then tap Set to set the time. Tap Set App
Limit to continue.
5
The next screen is just for information
again. It advises that you can restrict
mature and explicit content in iTunes and
App Stores, in the Music app and websites,
and that you can protect privacy settings.
Tap Continue.
6
Now it’s time to set up a Parent
Passcode, without which Screen Time
settings cannot be changed. This code is
necessary to stop your child getting into Screen
Time and removing all your restrictions.
Choose a number you can remember.
The Screen Time Front Page
1
This is the Screen Time home page,
which you see when you’ve set up
Screen Time. If you’ve only just set it up,
there won’t be much to see on the chart at
the top. Scroll this screen up and down to
see its options.
2
Tap the name of your iPhone at the
top of the screen to show a more
detailed breakdown of how it’s been used
that day. You can see the most used app that
day, and scroll up to see how often the
phone is used and more.
3
At the top of the screen, shown in
Step 2, tap Last 7 Days, at the top, to
see a breakdown of how the phone’s been
used throughout the last week. Again, scroll
up for more information, but there won’t be
much if you’ve just set up.
