Across the galley is arguably the star feature

WASHROOM

The shower cubicle at the far end boasts an

Ecocamel Orbit showerhead on a riser bar

while the plastic-lined walls are sturdier

than most.

The swivel-bowl toilet in the middle of

the washroom needs a bit of negotiating, but

the fixed basin just inside the door is angled,

making manoeuvring that bit easier. Upper

and lower level lockers provide a decent

amount of storage but there’s no window,

DETAILS

Ease of use is a key factor in any decision to

invest in a new motorhome and the Kon-tiki

Sport generally scores well in that department.

The cab seats are simple to swivel, the table

top s a r e e a s y to r e t r ie ve f r o m t h e i r t r ave l

locker, four spotlights in the lounge have

a dimmer function and the waste bin in the

habitation door is at a convenient height.

Indeed, inside the door itself there are

coat hooks, a grab handle and a floor-level

locker that’s ideal for shoes etc. Surprisingly,

there’s a lack of USB outlets in the main

l i v i n g a r e a s o yo u’ l l h ave to m a ke d o w i t h o ne s

in the cab and the bedroom.

The Kon-tiki Sport 560 also comes with Swift

CHIP theft deterrent and Connect Direct.

VERDICT

There are no massive surprises here but there

doesn’t need to be. Swift has brought some

Kon-tiki flair to a tried-and-trusted format.

The main bed may be French but in all other

regards this is a British thoroughbred.
