Truckin’ Life – August 2019

(Romina) #1
shining trophies up for grabs. Proving
that winners are indeed grinners, there
was no smile quite as wide as the boys
from R.B. Haulage when they took out
the most Prestigious Truck Award with
their easy on the eye green machine
International 1999 S3600 Series tipper.
A cracker of a Kenworth K200 Tridem
came rolling fresh off the production
line before being cradled lovingly just
like a newborn by Peter Martignago.
Peter was only too happy to share

the 136 tonne GCM rating Cummins
X15 engine at 600hp with awe struck
patrons that flocked on over to have a
peek. The spanking brand new diesel
bound bundle of joy is linked to an
Eaton 18 speed Roadranger gearbox
that rides along on an impressive
50/160 rear end. This babe has a teeny
tiny 20,000km struck up on the dial
to date and was purchased at Gilbert
and Roach, Huntingwood, NSW. The
K200 doesn’t spend her days sleeping

but instead carts heavy haulage loads
right around Australia with a Drake low
loader trailer coupled to her to prove it.
There was no time wasted with adding
that extra bling that makes her sing with
custom made stainless steel, which was
caringly undertaken by L.A. Truckworks
of Kemps Creek. Peter has more than a
few years up his trucking game sleeve
and has run a great number of trucks
in his fabulous fleet in Penrith and
can’t think of a better place to be right

Joe with his son Joseph Corte alongside the
new Kenworth T409SAR Series that is just
shy of 100 000kms of JDN Transport.

Raygal’s new Kenworth Legend (^900) Series.
