Because the GT350R’s main focus will
be track time, it’s been lowered, given
pillow-ball suspension arm joints,
magnetorheological dampers, carbon-fibre
wheels, big brakes and grippy Cup tyres.

The engine doesn’t make any extra power
than the Shelby GT350 from which it is taken,
but the R makes better use of it by being
60kg lighter with no rear seats, air-con, audio
system, trunk lining and gaining a carbon roof.
