Charity of the week
The Sick Children’s Trust isacharity that gives
families withaseriously ill child in hospital a
free, comfortable place to stay in one of our ten
“Homes from Home” around the UK. Hospital
can bealonely, scary place for anyone, but
especially forachild. By providing families with
somewhere to stay just minutes from their sick child, we ensure they have
one less thing to worry about.
As acharity, we rely entirely on voluntary donations to keep our “Homes
from Home” running, to make sure as many families as possible can be
together. It costs the charity just £30 to supportafamily for one night, giving
them so much more than justaroof over their heads when their child is in
hospital. Each £30 gives them someone to talk to, andacalm place to rest
and recuperate.Visit sickchildrenstrust.org.
