MY MOST TREASURED POSSESSION is a
gold bangle that was my mum’s. She used to
wear it every day and I put it on every morning.
I absolutely love it. I don’t sleep in it because
it’s uncomfortable, but every day when I put
it on, I think of my
mum. I don’t feel
good if I’m not
wearing it.

I FEEL AT
MY MOST
VULNERABLE
when I’m in
huge groups
of people or a
big crowd. I’m always a little bit nervous
at airports and busy shopping centres.
My idea of heaven is a small group of
people sitting down chatting.

I’M A SPIRITUAL PERSON because
I believe in angels. I live in Ibiza, so I’m
probably considered very unspiritual
because there are lots of very spiritual
people on the island. But
I do love crystals and I’ve
seen clairvoyants in the
past. Years and years
ago when I was a scally
raver in Manchester, one
clairvoyant said she could
see me on a stage and
asked me if I’d thought
about acting or singing.
I was like, “No, that’s not
me!” At that point in my
life, a music career wasn’t
even in the equation.

THE TOUGHEST CHALLENGE
I’VE EVER FACED is losing my
mum. When she passed away,
me and my sister got R tattoos

  • her name was Rita – on our
    wrists. The letter is surrounded
by stars. When we got home,
    my dad was like, “Where
    are you going to put
    the D?” His name
    was David. We
    had a laugh
    about that.

MY SECRET
SKILL is that
I’m a bit like a
parrot. When I meet people,
after about 10 minutes of being
in their company, I can do really
good impressions of them. When
I tell my husband Vinnie stories
about meeting friends, I always
tell it in the people’s voices and he
always says, “You should have been
an impressionist!” My daughter
Blake is the same as
me. She’s also really
good at impressions.

THREE WORDS TO
DESCRIBE ME are loyal,
lucky and in love.

IN A CRISIS I would call my
husband or my friend Craig.
Craig’s like a brother. He’s
an incredible person. He
works for the NHS, is a
magistrate and runs a
charity – he’s a superhero.
And he’s brilliant in a crisis! And
no one can make me cackle like him.

I WISH I COULD TELL MY 16-YEAR-
OLD SELF to be careful who you trust.

SOCIAL MEDIA is useful but
dangerous.

I BELIEVE EVERYTHING
HAPPENS FOR A REASON so
I wouldn’t go back and change
anything. It’s the weather of
life. Sometimes it’s sunny,
sometimes it’s raining
and if you don’t have
that, you don’t
have rainbows.
Everything’s relevant
and everything’s
meant to happen,
even if it doesn’t feel
like it at the time.
