Through all the ups and downs of my exquisitely painful yet
beautiful 20s, you’ve been one of the few constants. You and my
first car, of course – Bluey, a 1997 Toyota Corolla. Katherine
Gillespie’s piece on selling her first car made me laugh out
loud, and gave me a twinge, remembering when I said goodbye
to Bluey, and a few other things at the same time. Thank you
for helping us through all that life offers up, and for being the
constant pot of gold at the end of the sometimes-hard-to-find

people call, message, and send me a carrier pigeon to tell me to

Dear frankie, I’ve spent the past two weeks spiralling into
uncontrollable panic attacks at regular intervals because I have
no clue what I want to do when I graduate, and I start year 12 next
week. Reading about Daniel Gray-Barnett’s experience restarting
his career has calmed me, and for the first time in a long time,
I’m feeling OK about the non-existence of my post-graduation
