A True Icon
The new Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 effortlessly blends
features from the brand’s most celebrated watch family with an
understated design that makes it an instant classic in its own right.
With Breitling’s familiar circular slide rule and distinctive beaded
bidirectional bezel, a 41mm stainless-steel case and a clean three-
hand dial, the Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 is a stylish complement to
any wardrobe. Powered by the Breitling Caliber 17, an automatic
movement with a power reserve of approximately 38 hours, the
new Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 combines the historic appeal—the
Breitling Navitimer has been the world’s most highly regarded
pilot’s watch since 1952—of a true icon with the refinement of a
sophisticated, contemporary timepiece and represents a stunning
addition to the Navitimer family.
This year, IWC Schaffhausen
demonstrates its manufacturing
expertise with a new Spitfire line
in the Pilot’s Watches collection.
One of the standouts from this
new line is none other than the
Pilot’s Watch UTC Spitfire Edition
“MJ271.” For this watch, the brand
has integrated the Coordinated
Universal Time (UTC) function into
an IWC-manufactured movement—
the 82710 calibre—for the first time.
The UTC function makes it easy to
set a second time zone. If the crown
is turned when it is in its central
position, the hour hand moves
forward or backward in hourly
increments. Then, if the dial crosses
the International Date Line, the date
changes automatically, while the
time in the wearer's home country
can be read via the curved UTC
display in the top half of the dial.
The Art of Racing
TAG Heuer Carrera has always been the timepiece for racecar drivers as
much as it is for watch aficionados who treasure timepieces with heritage
and innovative design. Now, the revamped 41mm TAG Heuer Carrera
Calibre 16 combines performance with a sporty, distinguished appearance
for a timepiece that is as functional and comfortable as it is fashionable.
The newly designed features make this refreshed timepiece stand out from
its stylish predecessors. Case in point: The dial comes in sunray black or
sunray blue, and has also evolved to become even more legible. On the
other hand, the counters on the chronograph’s three sub-dials are larger
and more pronounced. These new stylistic enhancements to the legendary
TAG Heuer Carrera give it a more modern edge that not only improves the
legibility of the dial, but also makes it ideal for everyday style—from in the
office to a casual weekend on the go.
