All the best things come in cups: tea,

cakes and your breasts!

My name is Joanna, and I am The Bra Boss of Kent, based in Faversham.
Can you remember the last time you had a professional bra fitting?

8 out of 10 ladies are wearing the wrong sized bra. That’s a lot of unsupported ladies out there – and I’ve
met a lot of them over the past 10 years! I am a fully qualified, advanced bra fitter and I specialise in
fitting Maternity, Nursing, Sports and Mastectomy bras.

Tender breasts are often the first signs of pregnancy. Due to a surge of hormones and glandular tissue
expanding, your breasts will change a lot as a result. Breasts get bigger, rib cages expand and contract,
milk comes and goes - there’s a lot going on!

You might be surprised to know that it’s recommended to get fitted every six months and even more so
during pregnancy and after giving birth. I advise a bra check every trimester to ensure you are feeling
comfortable and supported.

There is nothing worse than constantly pulling up your bra straps (...your band is too loose!) or feeling like
you are spilling out of your bra (...you probably need to go up a cup or two!)  A bra fitting usually falls
down the long list of “to do”, but it can be life changing!

Many ladies opt for a soft, non-wired bra, however, there is nothing wrong with wearing an underwired
bra (gasp!) as long as it is fitted correctly! The same goes for nursing bras, which ideally should be fitted
three weeks before your baby is due.

Bra fitting can seem like a minefield, so if you are feeling confused about your size, please get in touch
with me. I stock a wide range of sizes (from a B to a K cup!) and I offer private one to one fitting
appointments in a lovely little renovated summer house....I’ll even throw in some tea and cake!
