Here’s an easy way to shape

paper-based add-ons for any

project, whether they are

clothes, tarpaulins, canvases,

rags or other discarded fabrics.

The 50ml plastic bottle comes

with its own dropper-style

applicator and the product

is re-useable. Simply wet

the paper, shape as desired

and leave to dry. If further

manipulation is required more

solution can be added and, best

of all, it doesn’t adhere to the

model which aids painting. Full

Tetra. The single

brass fret is

packed with parts

for the ship’s

railings, ladders,

davits, walkways,

turntable

rosettes, lookout

positions,

cranes, boat

racks, hatches,

doors and even

a degaussing line for the hull.

By comparison, changes to the

H8Ks are relatively minor, with

just new propellers and aerials.

As with many of Tetra’s releases,

these are aimed at the more

experienced modeller, and one

proficient with PE products.

(PE) AK-630 close-in weapons

systems are ideal for any 1/200

modern Soviet/Russian warship

or scratch-build project. There are

enough components to build four

three-piece AK-630 turrets (the

inclusion of four spare barrels is

a neat touch) and two four-part

Bass Tilt fire-control radars. All

resin items are cast cleanly, with

convincing fluting on the conical-

section base, while the PE grab rails

add yet more refinement.

Eduard’s resin upgrade is designed

for its delightful MiG-21MF kit and

provides two styles of mainwheels,

the standard ‘spoked’ type and

the rarer plain hub version.

Thoughtfully, two nosewheels are

included, making this great value for

money as there are enough parts

for two models. The casting is first-

rate, with delicate circumferential

tread and highly detailed brake units

on the inner faces. These are drop-in

replacements and come with pre-cut

self-adhesive painting masks.

This neat four-part accessory is

designed to fit ACE Models’ 1/48

GAZ staff car, light truck and

pick-up kits. These alternative

wheels offer far superior tread

and hub detail, with accurate

bolt-head configurations,

lightening holes and even

manufacturing legends on the

tyre sidewalls. Unusually, the

casting block attachments are

curved and join with the inner

tyre ‘face’, so any blemishes

caused when removing the

wheels will be hidden – a very

neat idea.

The cockpit of Airfix’s excellent

Me 262B-1 gets a major overhaul,

courtesy of Eduard’s pre-painted

photo-etched metal set. There are

replacement instrument panels and

consoles to replace the kit decals,

and these enliven the interior

considerably, plus new rudder

pedals and seat harnesses. Arguably

the most impressive addition is

the new radar scope, which sits

on the coaming between the two

crewmen, as the mounting bracket

and equipment box is supplied

separately. Other extras include

throttle quadrants, fuse boxes and

sidewall controls.

Greenstrawberry has adopted an

innovative approach for its landing

pad accessory, providing a choice

of pre-coloured self-adhesive panel

for the thick styrene base or pre-

cut mask. The latter is provided

with a clear plastic transfer sheet

to assist mounting it on the

styrene pad and enables modellers

to paint the landing platform as

they desire. Overall, this is a great

package that just cries out for a

small-scale sci-fi spacecraft.
