Speaking of excellent race simulations, it
doesn’t get any better than F1 2019. From
legendary racing developer Codemasters, this
game takes the most elite motorsport in the
world and puts it into your loungeroom with
such realism you truly feel like you are there.
The visuals are stunning, the car’s handle
perfectly, every one of the 21 race circuits
from this year’s world championship are
expertly recreated, and important things like
tyre wear and dynamic weather are all part of
the action. Diving into a full race weekend is a
big deal. The practice sessions, qualifying, carsetup tweaks and race are all included, plus
you can go deeper in Career Mode looking
after your sponsors, the media, rivalries with
other drivers and other elements professional
drivers must deal with. In fact, in the career
mode you can even start off in the F2, which
is the second-tier championship, and race
your way up to the main F1 championship.
Playing online can be particularly fun, as
every car on the grid is a human player. And
it’s also cool testing out some of the older
cars from previous years that are included
in the game, just to see they handle. Pretty
much everything an F1 fan could want!
