Tapping Into The Halal Market
MAB Kargo is now certified to handle halal shipments under its Halal Logistics
service, after receiving the Malaysian halal certification from the Department of
Islamic Development of Malaysia (JAKIM). The certification, which makes exporting
products to Muslim markets much easier, was issued after a stringent process
conducted jointly with JAKIM to meet strict requirements of maintaining halal
integrity. Additional facilities were also added to cater to the needs of maintaining
segregation between halal and non-halal shipments.
Festive Celebration
There was a festive mood in the air as the Malaysia
Aviation Group (MAG) held a rumah terbuka or Eid
‘open house’ session for its staff in Kota Kinabalu,
Sabah. Themed ‘Warna Warni Aidilfitri’, the event
was attended by 500 guests, comprising MAG
employees, representatives from travel and trade
industries, as well as state and federal government
agencies. Also present were MASwings Chief
Executive Officer Aminuddin Zakaria and senior
management from MASwings and MAG. The
fun and lively affair saw numerous in-house
talents performing on stage, and there were
engaging games to entertain guests, alongside
mouthwatering dishes such as roast lamb, satay
and ice-cream potong for dessert.
