A young visitor examines a sculpture of a restored mural depicting the ancient sportchuiwan—a
game much like modern day golf — at Taiyuan Art Museum in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, on Aug 6. The
mural was found in a temple in the province’s Hongtong county and dates to the Yuan Dynasty (1271-
1368). The museum hosted an exhibition focusing on ancient artwork that features sporting elements.
