edge. Th e Tribe also bit deeply with no
edge damage—again, thanks to excellent
heat treatment.
REPORT CARDS
Both knives performed great. You only
have to decide on size diff erence, along
with carbon vs. stainless damascus steel.
I preferred the contoured handle of the
Suna because it fi t my hand perfectly.
Sarge and Olamic have both done
excellent jobs with the Tribe and Suna,
respectively.
DESIGN SUGGESTIONS
I would prefer a little more guard length
on the Suna and a bit of handle contour
for tighter control on the Tribe.
Both companies warrant their knives to be
free from defects as long as the knives have
not been abused. For more information

Using a dead-blow hammer for a baton, the
author quartered up a tree branch quickly
with the Tribe and its shorter blade. It was
a tad easier to split the wood with the Suna
because of its longer blade.
