Width 50 x 150 cm

TENSION

11 sts to 10cm in width over patt,

using 10mm needles

WORKING PATTERN

WRAP

Using 10mm needles, cast on 56 sts.

Beg Pattern

Knit 4 rows garter st.

Row 5: K1, * K1 wrapping yarn

around needle 4 times for each st, rep

from * to last st, K1.

Row 6: * Slip 8 sts onto right-hand

needle, dropping extra loops of each

st, then using left-hand needle pass

the first 4 sts over the second 4 sts,

then return all sts to left-hand needle

and knit the 8 sts in the crossed order,

rep from * to end.

Knit 4 rows garter st.

Row 11: As 5th row.

Row12: Slip 4 sts onto right-hand

needle, dropping extra loops of each

st, then using left-hand needle pass

the first 2 sts over the second 2 sts,

then return all sts to left-hand needle

and knit the 4 sts in the crossed order,

* slip 8 sts onto right-hand needle,

dropping extra loops of each st, then

using left-hand needle pass the first 4

sts over the second 4 sts, then return

all sts to left-hand needle and knit the

8 sts in the crossed order, rep from *

to last 4 sts, slip 4 sts onto right-hand

needle, dropping extra loops of each

st, then using left-hand needle pass

the first 2 sts over the second 2 sts,

then return all sts to left-hand needle

and knit the 4 sts in the crossed order.

Last 12 rows form patt.

Cont in patt until work measures

approximately 150cm from beg,

ending with 4 rows garter st.

Cast off loosely.

MAKING UP

Do not press. Sew in ends. Attach a

fringe evenly along both ends, using

6 strands of yarn 60cm long for each

fringe. Trim neatly.
