this saying before,whichisunexpectedseeingasIgrewupinthecountryandlovetouse a lot of obscure
Aussie slang inmyeverydaylife.Idecidedtodepictthelilcentipedeinagraphic,pastel world.
Somehow, his sockdrawerhasbeentransplantedintoafieldofbloomingdaisies,and he’s obviously
an avid collector,asthedrawersareoverflowingwithcolourfulpatternedsocks.Ilove his cute little
face! My favouriteeverpieceofAussieslangwouldhavetobe‘wrapyourlaughinggear round that’,
which means toeatsomething.IthinkIlikeitmainlybecauseitremindsmeofmydad, who was a
very funny man.IfIhadtoinventmyownpieceofAussieslang,itwouldbesomething like, ‘I’m as
hungry as a binchicken’(iewhenyou’resohungryyouwouldliterallyeatanythingan ibis would).
Think a kebabdroppedonthestreet,or...garbage,Isuppose!Weallknowthe feeling!
