No animals were
harmed in the
making of this
knitted Highland
cow. Don’t worry,
we checked. Instead,
maker Harriet Clinch
stitched it up in her
Sydney lounge room,
adding it to the herd
of beasts she’s turned

ocean queen
Not to be too depressing, but coral reefs are
in a whole lot of strife right now from global
warming, so this Ocean Queen necklace from
Rylee and Ink may wind up a wearable tribute
to reefs of yore. It’s laser-cut from lovely maple
wood, with pink mother-of-pearl accents
(sustainably gathered, of course). Nab one from
ryleeandink.com for around $120, if you wish.
huggable blobs
Before you get too attached to this woven blob
of awesomeness, we should let you know it’s not
for sale in Australia, and no amount of crying
will make it appear in the Southern Hemisphere.
That said, Polish designer Aleksandra Gaca has
come up with a doozy of a lounging solution. Her
Casalis Slumber poufs are covered in super-soft
stretch fabrics made from kid mohair and merino
wool, and they come in 12 sweet hues. Apparently,
when you sit on them they’ll hug you tight, then
spring back into shape when cuddle time is up.
Sounds like the perfect companion, if you ask us.

was the case with this collaboration

Bad news for anyone who
believes that aloof equals
cool. From now on, the true
sign of radness is a kind
heart, consideration for
others, and a willingness
toembrace all the equally
excellent people in your
midst. If you’re not convinced,
just ask London illustrator
and stationery maven Annie
Dornan Smith, who’s gone
ahead and whipped up this
neat little notebook. It’s the
perfect size to tote about in
your bag or perch on your
desk for a daily reminder
tospread good vibes and
benevolence. Around $14,
