Eastes Inc is coming up on 100
years in business and one of its
pride and joys is this magnificently
restored 1940 Sterling 160. For those
unfamiliar, Sterling was a Milwaukee-
based trucking company that was
building hard-working solid trucks
up until the mid-’50s

379 Pete with its 200-inch sleeper.
Fitted with shower, toilet, double
bed, kitchen, hardwood floors,
ceiling fans and, I quote, “bitchin
stereo”. With a 386-inch wheelbase it
rides like a dream as Lyall still works
it around the US
