Blue Mountains Life – August-September 2019

FUN FOR ALL

Now in it’s 38th year, the Leura Village Fair provides the perfect
opportunity for visitors of all ages to celebrate spring in the Blue
Mountains. Set over two days, this vibrant event sees market stalls lining
Leura Mall and extending into Megalong Street Carpark.
Visitors can expect a diverse range of stalls selling everything from
fashion and jewellery to art, ceramics, homewares, beauty products, sweet
treats, garden sculptures and cool-climate plants, to local wines and ciders.
Each year the Leura Village Association (LVA) offers subsidised stalls
to local artisans, adding a truly unique touch to the offerings. The Fair has
a very strong local flavour, with talented locals showcasing their products
alongside a well-curated mix of stallholders from across New South Wales.
Megalong Street Carpark is transformed into an international canteen
for the duration of the Fair, with stallholders offering cuisine from France,
Switzerland, Mexico, Vietnam, China, Greece, Turkey and Spain. Regional
providores and newcomers to the Fair are also located in the carpark – it’s
a great opportunity to get a true taste of the Blue Mountains.
