Sister’s Rock Restaurant is located at the top of Borrodell Vineyard,
overlooking the Pinot Noir block with endless views overlooking the
slopes of the Towac Valley to Orange and beyond.THE STORY OF SISTER’S ROCK
“Sisters Rock” is an area named by early colonial surveyors during
exploration of the country west of Orange.
A small section contains rock pillars was thought to resemble children
crossing a field - hence “Sisters Rock”.
One of the pioneering families to settle there was the Borrodell family.
The name must have been prophetic. They had 9 daughters there.
Our restaurant name remembers those girls from so long ago.RICHARD LEARMONTH - Head Chef
Originally from New Zealand, Richard developed his skills in some of
Sydney’s finest restaurants and grew to lead teams in highly rated
kitchens such as Porteno, Restaurant Pendolino and the Unicorn Hotel.
Inspired by the fresh bounty of Borrodell and the surrounding region he
made the leap to Sisters Rock where he aims to showcase the natural
riches of Orange with a menu that is driven by seasonality and local
produce.
Open: Lunch: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (12pm – 3pm)
Dinner: Friday, Saturday (6pm – onwards)
Sundays: All day from 11.30 – 8pm
