Theyhavedevelopeda tendency

thanoriginallyintended.Soyou
couldsaywehavedevelopedand
nurturedthebreedintobecoming
somethingmuchmoresuitedtothe
pegnowadaysthanthey were in
decadesgoneby.

gundogtrainerinShootingTimes, and
askedherthoughtsonthecocker-on-
the-pegconundrum.Sherepliedthat
sheis nostrangertotraininga cocker
forthepeg.“Theyareveryversatile
littledogsthatcanturna pawto
almostanything.However,theyare
naturally‘busy’andnormalpegdog
attributesarenotsomethingthat
comeeasilytothem.Soit is alldown
tothehandlertoinstilthebasicsfirst.”
