Moto2
Alex Marquez on the Marc VDS Kalex
bike has been on a true roll, but the
number 73 started in sixth, hence another
win would be difficult. Come race start and
we saw Thomas Luthi on the Dynavolt
Intact GP take the lead with Augusto
Fernandez on the Flexbox HP 40 bike
stuck on his tail. But soon the younger Marquez started to catch the two slowly but
surely.
Augusto got the better of Luthi with an aggressive block pass, but by now the
number 73 was all over the rear wheel of front pair. Elsewhere, Lorenzo Baldassarri on
the other Flexbox HP 40 bike and championship leader went down with 15 laps to go
which meant that Marquez saw his moment and made his move on Augusto Fernandez.
After successfully getting into second, Marquez looked at Luthi in the front.
Meanwhile, on the HDR Heidrun Speed Up bike Jorge Navarro had made his way to
fourth and now started to challenge Fernandez and continued a good fight for the final
place on the podium. Marquez, in turn, made his move on Luthi, put his head down,
and headed towards the chequered flag.
Navarro was not quite done yet, though, and after taking third from Fernandez now
set his sights on Thomas Luthi, who seemed to be struggling with tyre wear. But it was
too late and, in the end, it was Marquez who won, Luthi held on to second, and Navarro
was in third.

He seemed to be riding a brilliant race with good
defensive lines at time and better drive out of corners
when needed. Could he hold on for the win was the
question. He had already set up a little lead and
looked set for the win. But on the final lap with
pressure from Aron Canet of the Sterilgarda Max

Racing Team right behind him, Toba made a mistake
and went down ending his race.
Finally, it was Marcos Ramirez of Leopard Racing,
Aron Canet, and Celestino Vietti of SKY Racing
Team VR46 who finished first, second, and third
respectively.

Moto3

Lorenzo Dalla Porta on his Leopard
Racing bike took the lead early in the
race. But, unfortunately, a mechanical
problem had him retire from the race, a
real disaster for his championship bid.
This being Moto3, there is almost the
entire grid vying for the win. The racing
is absolute madness and impossible to tell
who would win. Three or four abreast
into a corner is a common scene in almost
every turn.
With finally about seven laps to go, the
Japanese rider, Kaito Toba, on the Honda
Team Asia was running in a brilliant first.
