slapper and rode in a lonely third. But the
race for the win was still hot. Viñales and
Marquez fought with each other with
each being faster than the other in
different sections.
Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi on the
other Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP
took out Takaaki Nakagami on the LCR
Honda IDEMITSU in a high-speed
crash. Nakagami came off the worse and
needed attention but was all right. The
Ducati factory team riders, too, were in
their own tussle in fourth place.
Viñales finally took the lead but it was
not going to be easy. Marquez never gave
up and hence the fight was on and both
riders pulled away from Quartararo. Joan
Mir found some pace again and took on
the Ducatis, getting the better of both, not
for long, though. Soon that group was
joined by Franco Morbidelli on the
Petronas Yamaha SRT in a great fight for
fourth place.
In the end, it was Viñales who won it
from Marquez, with third spot going to
Fabio Quartararo. Next up on the
calendar is the Sachsenring for the
German GP. That is a favourite of a
certain Spanish number 93.MotoGP

the Petronas Yamaha SRT team

Yamaha of Maverick Viñales of Monster
Energy Yamaha MotoGP in second and
the Suzuki of Alex Rins in third. Thus, a
very young front row. Champion Marc
Marquez of Repsol Honda Team took up
his place on the second row in fourth
place. Dovizioso on the factory Ducati
had a terrible qualifying and started in a
far 11th on the grid.
The Suzukis of Alex Rins and Joan
Mir got off to an amazing start and were
followed by a fight among Quartararo,
Viñales, and Marquez. Then Alex Rins
the race leader crashed out, leaving
teammate Mir to hold the Suzuki flag in
front. Mir, however, started to drop pace
due to that soft-compound tyre he had
opted for.
The lead was now with Quartararo,
Viñales, and Marquez. But there was
trouble for the Frenchman with struggles
with the chicane causing a bad tank-
slapper. This caused him to roll off the
gas on the back straight and in the end
Marquez and Viñales got past.
