A Dream Come True

Finally, I hit the track on 15
May 2019 with Rajini’s Academy
of Competitive Racing. I was
selected as a Talent Hunt Winner
and, fortunately, I completed
my level one training in 2W
Motorbike Racing. I still can’t
believe it; the day was over in a
flash. The best part is that my
mother agreed to support me in
my proposed motor sport career
and soon I hope to touch new
heights in 2W Motorbike Racing.
That’s just the beginning. By
August 2019, I shall complete
my level two and level three
and after that I shall apply for
an official 2W FMSCI Racing

Licence too. I am aware that
motor sport as a career in India
may be unrealistic and difficult
at present, but if there is even a
0.01 per cent chance of a career
in that field, I’ll go for it and never
regret the decision. That’s for
sure.
Thank you once again for
listening to me.

Keshari Nandan, by e-mail

opinion, which of these two would
be suitable for me? I ride only on the
street and do not go for any long
rides. Please advise me.
Karthik Sivakumar, by e-mail
Dear Karthik,
That’s an interesting selection.
Both models are poles apart
in what they represent, how
they perform, and even what
they look like. Both are equally
adept on the streets, which, as
you mentioned, is your primary
concern. Therefore, it depends
entirely on whether you want a
400-cc faired motorcycle like the
Ninja or a retro-styled Scrambler.
Take both these bikes out for a
spin to see which one feels right
and then take a call on which one
you should opt for.
