This week:
ELEMIS PEPTIDE
24/7 SKIN SYNC
FACIAL

Beauty Editor
Laura Mulley
trials Elemis’s latest
facial treatment

What’s the big deal?
Specifically aimed at tired skin,
Elemis’s newest facials combine
powerful botanical ingredients with
either massage or technology in
one relaxing treatment that claims
to restore radiance and give the
appearance of eight hours’ sleep.

Our verdict:
Laura says, ‘When it comes to
facials, I want something more than
just a number of nice lotions and
potions applied in the right order

  • this I can do myself at home. So
I look for a treatment that includes
one of the following: a good, firm
    facial massage; state-of-the-art
    technology; or some lifestyle
    advice or prescribed regime from
    a skincare expert.
‘Elemis ticks the first two boxes
with its new facial, available in either
“touch” or “tools” options. I went for
the second, lying down on the bed
    next to a complex-looking machine.
    After cleansing, a metal, faintly
    buzzing device emitting ultrasonic
frequency was swept over my skin
to remove dead cells. This was then

followed by the Peptide^4
Thousand Flower Mask, a black,
mousse-like blend of exfoliating
acids and hydrating ingredients.
Next came eye patches and
a sheet mask, over which a different
metal tool was lightly rolled over the
face, giving off galvanic frequency,
which claims to reduce the
appearance of pores.
‘The final gadget was a blue light,
which helps to reduce inflammation
and kill bacteria. The treatment was
finished off with the Peptide^4
Plumping Pillow Facial, a super-
hydrating leave-on cream/mask.
‘It left my skin looking fresh,
glowing and rested. The treatment
was the perfect mix of tech and
relaxation – there’s still your typical
dim lighting, soft music and spa-like
fragrances. And it’s only
slightly more expensive than
Elemis’s cheapest one-hour
facial, so it’s worth paying an
extra £20 for more noticeable
results that last for days.’

The Elemis Peptide 24/7 Skin
Sync Facial costs from £100.
