Two prizes of $1,000 each, publication
by Fordham University Press, and a
reading at the Poets Out Loud Reading
Series at Fordham-Lincoln Center in
New York City are given annually for
poetry collections. Elisabeth Frost and
Cynthia Hogue will judge. Using only
the online submission system, submit
a manuscript of 50 to 100 pages with a

Ghost Story
SUPERNATURAL FICTION AWARD
A prize of $1,000, publication on the
Ghost Story website and in the Ghost
Story print anthology, 21st Century Ghost
Stories, is given twice yearly for a short
story with a supernatural or magic
realism theme. The editors will judge.
Submit a story of 1,500 to 10,000 words
with a $20 entry fee by September 30.

Hackney Literary Awards
NOVEL CONTEST

Harvard University
RADCLIFFE INSTITUTE FELLOWSHIPS
Fellowships of $77,500 each, office space
at the Radcliffe Institute, and access to
the libraries at Harvard University are
given annually to poets, fiction writ-
ers, and creative nonfiction writers to
allow them to pursue creative projects.
Fellows, who are expected to reside in
Boston during the fellowship period,
which lasts from September through
May, also receive $5,000 to cover project
expenses. Poets who have published
a full-length collection or at least 20
poems in magazines or anthologies in
the last five years and who are in the
process of completing a manuscript are
eligible. Fiction and creative nonfiction
writers who have a book-length manu-
script under contract for publication or
at least three shorter works published
are eligible. Writers who are graduate
students at the time of application are
not eligible. For 2020–2021 fellowships,
submit up to 10 poems or a short story, a
recent book chapter, or an essay totaling
no more than 30 pages; contact informa-
tion for three references; a curriculum
vitae; and a project proposal by Septem-
