flub.I can’tthinkofanyStarTrekas
inconsistentas thisshowhasbeenina
singleseason.The goodepisodeskeep
mehopingandcomingbackbutas a
lifetimeTr e kfanI thinkDiscoveryhas
yettoreallygraspwhatStarTrekis.

makeit.

ON“PROJECT DAEDALUS”

(EPISODE 9)

Giventhat we knew very little

aboutAiriam, it was a brilliant and

heartbreaking episode. Th e storyline

fleshedout her character enough to

begenuinely moved by her departure.

The fight scenes were impressive,

sotoowas the Discovery’s arrival

at thestarbase. Pike and Cornwell

wereexceptional as always and the

downplayed Tilly showed us that the

character has more depth than just

beingthere for comic eff ect. It was

nicetosee more of the bridge crew,

especially at the end when they stood

helplessly listening/watching Michael

andAiriam’s fi nal moments. Another

greatepisode, from this exceptionally

Discoveryis onpointthisseason.This

is a fantasticseason.Nowweneeda

Pikeseriesofhisown.
