WWW.MUSTANG-360.COM OCTOBER 2019 63Harris wants to thank his brother and business
partner Marty Ochs; Nate Green; Jason Rathbun
of Showtime Upholstery; Rob Bowen of the Parts
Farm in Lyons, Georgia, for providing the Cobra
powerplant; and Jason Duggar and Randy Pethel
for the underhood paint.nator motor that he acquired
thanks to the Parts Farm. To
up the ante even more, he
topped the mill with a 2.9L
Ford Performance Parts
supercharger by Whipple.
To keep things running
smoothly, Harris installed an
LFP heat exchanger. To keep
airflow in check, he added a
SCT BA3000 mass air meter
and a Vibrant Performance
intake complete with a K&N
filter.
Harris installed an
engine harness that uses
the Ford factory electronics,
but that has been modified
to accommodate the 1991
Mustang. To quench the
fuel thirst, he added 60-lb/
hr fuel injectors from Ford
Performance Parts, a Walbro
392 pump, and an Aeromo-
tive regulator.
Helping to shift all that
power is a T-56 transmis-sion out of a 2004 Cobra
upgraded with a 26-spline
input shaft, a Competi-
tion twin-disc clutch, and a
Steeda Tri-ax shifter com-
plete with a Hurst handle.
Front and rear suspen-
sion components consist of
UPR with Strange shocks
and Eibach springs. Steeda
subframe connectors tieeverything together and
keep the chassis nice and
stiff. The rear houses a Ford
8.8 solid axle along with 3.55
gears, 31-spline Moser axles,
and a Trac-Lok differential
that receives power from a
Dynatech aluminum drive-
shaft.
