his long-lost brother John, reunited in 2016.

The success of their meeting inspired John

to search for more of his family on his father’s

side, which led to more joyful meetings with

family he never knew he had. The next story

is from Tracy, who found her older brother

Christian just when she needed him most.

Finally, we catch up with Pauline, 81, who

was reunited with her brother and a couple

of sisters. The cameras capture her

wedding day as her brother Colin proudly

captures our imagination, 56

years on, partly because there are still

unanswered questions. The plot was like

something out of a Hollywood movie – on

8 August 1 9 63, a Royal Mail train was

stopped and 16 robbers unloaded dozens

of sacks containing £2.6m (around £51m

today). But thanks to long-forgotten tapes

recorded in 1 9 78 by gang member Roger

Cordrey, this documentary reveals startling

new facts. There are also interviews with

some of the robbers’ children, including

Danny Pembroke, whose father was never

arrested for his role in the heist. ★★★★ HD

Taking a break from First Dates, Fred teams up with chef

and Junior Bake Off judge Allegra McEvedy to teach

restaurant – including coping with difficult diners. The

healthy competition between front-of-house Fred and
