andisa firmfavouritewiththeroyalfamily,
havingperformedatseveralroyaloccasions,
includingtheDiamondJubileePageantin2012.
“It’sonlyinthelastfewweeksthatI’vebegun
toshow.I feelluckywithmyjob– I gettoborrow
beautifulgownsanddressesandsoI’vebeen
choosingfloatyoutfits.What’slovelyat themoment
is thatI’mfeelingbubblesandflutters– nokicks
yet.Butwhenthebabystartsmovinga bitmoreit
willbestrangeif it happenswhenI’msinging.”EMOTIONALRESONANCE
Laurahasbeenplayinglotsofmusictothebaby,
andherfriends,twoofwhomarealsopregnant,
havesuggestedsherecordanalbumoflullabies.
Asit happens,sheis currentlyinthestudio.
“I’mwritingandrecording,sobeingquite
emotionalandthoughtfulis great.Beinginthe
musicindustryandthesportindustry,I’veseen
somanywomen– likemyfriendHelenSkelton- whoshowmethathavinga careerandchildren
is absolutelypossible.I’mself-employed,soI’llbe
abletopickandchoosewhatI dowhenthebaby
is born.Andwewanttohavesomeadventures.”
ExplainsHarry:“Inanidealworldwe’dloveto
spendthreemonthsa yearinAfrica.Experience
ratherthanmaterialthingsis themostimportant
thingtous.I grewupinLondonbutmydadwas
a rangerandwehada cottageinthewoods.It’s
beingoutside,climbingtrees,thatstayswithme
frommychildhood.”
Laurais alwaysupfora challenge,too.Infact,
justtendaysafterfindingoutshewasexpecting,
sherantheLondonmarathon.Notsurprisingly,
herthoughtsweren’tentirelyonthetaskinhand.
“There’sa lotoftimetothinkwhenyou’re
runninga marathon.Emotionally,I foundthe
experiencequitedifficult.I’mverycompetitive
soI wantedtodowell,butI feltlikeI couldn’tdo
that.ThiswasmyfourthmarathonandI know
howtheycanbequiteoverwhelming.I was
feelingquitetiredandI felta bitlow.Atone
