Super-soft underfoot, the latest carpets from

Axminster feature a unique blend of sheep

and alpaca wool – the first of its kind in the

UK – in a range of pastel shades. ‘The challenge

was to make a natural wool product that was

beautiful and subtle in design, but with the

luxe effect of soft brushed velvet,’ says Gary

monochrome trend has made its

way to the floor. ‘Oversized florals

are a popular choice when it comes

to patterned carpets, but they do

have a tendency to look busy,’

says Anna Del-Molino, buyer at
