‘IlovedplanningthisusingPinteresttomakeboardsforeachof
thethreecolour-themedsections,’saysTrish.Theouterperimeter
bedsareplantedwithbluesandwhites,suchaslong-flowering
GeraniumRozanne(‘Gerwat’),astersandgrassesincludingtall,
uprightCalamagrostisxacutiflora‘KarlFoerster’.Columnsof
Carpinusbetulus‘Fastigiata’punctuatetheborder,replacingthe
originalpencilcypressesthatfailedtothriveontheheavyclaysoil.
Existinghedgesprovidea strongbackdroptowhichTrishand
Jeremyaddeda lowhornbeamhedge,creatinglayersofinterest.
