WILLIAMS
Funny is good training for funny. Or
at least it seems to have been for
the Girls star — who, not wanting
to just trade on her anchor father
Brian Williams’ fame to launch
her acting career, took a closer-to-
entry-level job in television: Tina
Fey’s assistant the summer she was
filming Baby Mama and her series
30 Rock. Since making magic with
Lena Dunham and friends and star-
ring in Get Out and Netflix’s The
Perfection, Williams seems on track
to become her own bossy pants.
KANYE WEST
The most Grammy-awarded artist of his genera-
tion learned from the best: Kanye got his start as a
producer for Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella label, working on
Jay’s own 2001 album, The Blueprint. Oh, and if we’re
throwing it way, way back, Kanye also reportedly
worked in retail, at Gap, which set the stage for him
to start a comfy fashion empire.
