It’s not often
that I spot an owl in the
wild, but on this particular
morning, I saw two barred
owls calling to each other
and displaying. Here’s one
of them—it was such an
amazing sight!

northern cardinals don’t
migrate—they stay in the

This stunning
male northern cardinal
visited my feeder. If you
look closely enough,
you’ll see some crumbs
on his bill from the seeds
he just ate. I have some
health problems, so I don’t
get out much. I’m thankful
for the birds that come to
hang out in my yard.
