BEAUTY

Different complexion concerns

mean different concealers. Here’s

a rundown of which work best

for what you want to achieve

REDNESS
Full-coverage foundations are at peak
popularity right now, but they can end
up looking mask-like. Another option?
A full-coverage, opaque concealer, applied
just where you need it and blended well,
will allow the rest of your skin to look healthy
and real. This approach is useful if you have
visible capillaries or redness in one area, such
as across the cheeks or around the nose.
HOW TO APPLY: Dot on a tiny amount
and blend with your ngers. Following with
a light dusting of translucent powder over
the entire face will give you an even canvas
and helps keep concealer in place in areas
that tend to produce more oil, like the T-zone.

UNDER EYES
A spot that’s quick to show signs of fatigue, this area needs to be treated
kindly. Apply an eye cream or moisturiser a few minutes before you
do your makeup, and choose a concealer designed for the job. Seek out
one of the new thin yet high-coverage uid concealers that maintain
hydration and adeptly stretch and move with your expressions. One with
radiant brightening properties is even better. For very dark circles,
opt for a dedicated colour-correcting product with peach tones
that will counteract shadowy areas, and apply it before concealer.
HOW TO APPLY: Dab on a couple of dots and blend using a
uffy eye brush (rather than a dense-tip concealer brush). This
creates a beautiful feather-light ‘airbrushed’ effect that can be
built up slowly. Don’t forget the inner corners of your eyes too!
