or me, there was no question – if
I started a fashion brand, it
would be one that placed people
and the planet at the forefront
of every decision. I believed that the
industry and customers were ready for
change, so I wanted to build a brand that
championed transparency and made
a positive impact on everyone involved. I
strongly believe that style and sustainability
can and should co-exist.
Our workspace is in Morningside,
Auckland; we’ve been working here for
almost a year. It isn’t our forever space,
as we’re still young and growing, with an
exciting journey ahead, but the advantage
is its location. We can walk to most of our

fabric suppliers and one of our makers is
just over the fence. We can practically
throw garments back and forth to
each ot her.
It’s important to me that our workspace
reects the aesthetics of the brand and is
somewhere that inspires us. A lot of
memories have been made and ideas
sparked here. It’s a relatively small space,
so form and function both play
a part – it’s pretty and purposeful.
The ofce is usually organised, but with
a bit of humble chaos. We’re creatives, so
it’s part of the process to have fabric,
patterns and mood boards pinned and
scattered everywhere. My favourite
