The award-winning photojournalist

Brian “Storitellah” Otieno was raised in

Africa’s biggest slum, Kibera, in Nairobi,

Kenya. He took these photo s for Kibera

Stories, a project to document life in

his home town, showing the vibrant

community beyond a chaotic veneer.

Kibera: Living in the Slum, an

exhibition of images by four

photographers from Kibera, including

Otieno, is at the Guardian’s London

offi ces until 31 August.
