body, fuel is handled by 1000cc injectors fed by a DeatschWerks DW200
fuel pump, and spent gases are lost via PLM V2 K Swap headers and a
modified Skunk2 three-inch system. There’s the usual slathering of an
alloy radiator, oil cooler, overflows, race-orientated engine mounts, and
aftermarket ECU, but, for the most part, it’s a refined package that has
all the components needed to handle the hard driving it will endure, with
nothing unnecessary added just to beef out the spec list. Producing
185kW and 255Nm of torque all day long, it’s the ideal package for the
car’s endurance future.
That same ethos can be found throughout the chassis, which
has been cut of all fat in the name of power-to-weight. Elliot tells us

that he’s managed to get it down to a crazy 900kg by replacing many
of the panels with fibreglass units and trimming out the likes of the
factory doors and rear inner quarters. There was more weight to be
dropped, too, by extending the fibreglass replacements from the
bonnet, bumpers, and hatch out to the doors, and ditching the window
glass for polycarbonate. However, he was aware that he still had to sit
in the cabin for extended periods and didn’t like the thought of being
bombarded by leaking door seals and rattling windows; even in a track
car, there is a balance to be found between rawness and driver comfort.
As for handling, Elliot’s years of racing mixed with the knowledge
gained from helping to campaign the Osborne family’s Honda Cup EG
