A French “lightweight”

The FL501 entered service with the

French Army, but was also adopted

by the Spanish army, along with the

forces of Tunisia and Argentina as a

light utility vehicle in the 1980s.

The FL500, predecessor to the FL501, had an engine with a slightly

lower power ratio than the FL501. This version is mounted with a

Mistral anti-aircraft missile.
