The Fred Hollows Foundation is an international
development aid organisation that works to eliminate
avoidable blindness. Working in 25 countries, we have
restored sight to over 2.5 million people worldwide.
We train doctors – not just to upskill them, but to train

“What we are doing is
revolutionary, something big
health organisations aren’t
doing. They send eye doctors.
What we are doing is giving
these people the chance to
help themselves. We are
giving them independence.”
