TECH PUMP GAS PUSH
In addition to the forged
stroker crank, K1 also
supplied a set of 6.125-
inch, 4340 forged steel
connecting rods (PN
012AE25613). The shot-
peened rods came with
premium bronze wristpin
bushings and ARP 2000
fasteners.

To help keep the static compression to
a blower-friendly 8.6:1, each JE forged
stroker piston (PN 326374) featured a
generous 29.9cc dish. The unique profile,
called a donut dish, reminded us of the
newer LT-style pistons used for direct
injection.
6
After gapping the JE rings, we combined
the pistons, pins, and connecting rods.
7
Using an adjustable ring compressor
from Summit Racing, we installed each
piston/rod assembly into their respective
bores.
8
To ensure plenty of power, we
installed a custom Comp cam that
offered a 0.647/0.627-inch lift split,
a 235/244-degree duration split, and
a 115+4-degree LSA.
