We vote for the shockingly blue Mrs Sugar’s

Burrito. Featuring a ‘wrap’ of candy floss

stuffed with ice cream and covered with a

topping of your choice. Smurfy.

Vegan Belgian dark chocolate ice

Jelly Belly has the ideal vegan scoop. It’s

made from coconut milk, vegan Belgian dark

chocolate and coconut powder and enriched

with coconut flakes and fudge.

Ice Gold at Le Café

Emirates Palace is known for being the

fanciest of all the many fancy hotels in the

capital, and it’s no secret that the venue has

a bit of a fondness for covering everything

in gold. So while you might have tried the

famous gold cappuccino at Le Café, there’s

now another, more icy treat, to put on your

list of must-try foods. The decadent Ice Gold

dessert features your choice of vanilla or

chocolate ice cream topped with edible 24k

gold. It’s the most Abu Dhabi thing we’ve ever

seen, and quite literally Insta-gold.

Black sesame soup at Market at

EDITION

Everything at this understated and hipster-

friendly hotel is totally on trend, and that

includes the desserts at all-day-dining

restaurant Market at EDITION. This outlet

specialises in healthy food, so even the ice

cream isn’t quite as bad for you as it could be.

It’s also anything but ordinary, and while the

scoops of mango and labneh sorbet are totally

dreamy, it’s the black sesame soup which

really strikes us as something extra special.

Featuring activated charcoal ice cream (yes,

it’s that kind of place) coconut and buckwheat

granola. It’s good for you and delicious.

Pomegrante frozen yoghurt

at Pinkberry

The frozen yoghurt trend took off thanks

to the fact it’s lower in fat than ice-cream.

Choose wisely and you can indulge in the

sweet-yet-tart dessert for around 100 calories

a serving. Flavours at this popular fro-yo spot
