two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies,

or fudge brownies if you’re feeling like you

deserve a really big treat. We don’t know

about you, but reckon we’ve been very, very

good this week...

Mochi at Teatro

With an impressive bar and theatrical

decorations (including lots of glamorous

Venetian masks), Teatro is a place where the

East and West combine. The menu features

dishes from Thailand, India, China, Italy and

Japan, but make sure you don’t fill up too

much on the savoury dishes and save room

for dessert. The mochi Japanese ice cream

comes in a variety of wonderful flavours such

as coconut, passion fruit, green tea and white

chocolate raspberry. Encased in a rice dough

wrapping, these little pieces of joy are the

perfect end to any meal.

During these long hot months we’re constantly

craving something fresh, fruity and refreshing.

So time and time again we find ourselves

coming back to The Lounge at Khalidiya

Palace hotel for another tall glass of its

summer berry creation (we don’t know how

it happens, honest). With colourful layers

of strawberry ice cream, thick berry sauce,

almond flakes, whipped cream and juicy fresh

berries, it’s totally beautiful in every way.

Ice cream brioche at Vasa Vasa

Vasa Vasa has made the already brilliant

Sicilian brioche even better by filling it with

your favourite ice cream. The extensive range

of ice cream flavours vary from rich and

indulgent Nutella and chocolate to refreshing

fruit sorbets and everything in between. It’s

way better than a cheese and pickle.

This stylish Japanese restaurant is known for

serving some of the best dishes in the capital,

not to mention super mixed drinks. But you

can’t afford to skip dessert here either, and

this incredible sundae is the main reason why.

Ever tried sweet potato ice cream before? Well

prepare to have your mind blown. Joined by

caramelised pecan nuts and sprinkled with

kokuto brown sugar, this luxurious ice cream

is nothing short of sensational.
