‘Sugar Rush’ Wallflowers provide a stunning array of rainbow
colours when little else is in flower. They will bloom in autumn
then overwinter and flower again in spring, making these
striking flowers great value for money.
‘Sugar Rush’ also provide a sweet fragrance so we
recommend planting in an area of the garden where their
scent and colourful flowers can be enjoyed such as the patio,
garden borders or even rockeries.
A low maintenance bedding plant, they will reach a height
and spread of 20-30cm. UK-grown award winning maxi plug
plants supplied.

Celebs in toast to a Bonnie lass
A HOST of famous faces smile with
delight as they get together to
celebrate an old friend’s birthday.
Showbiz legends Sir Cliff Richard
and Des O’Connor led the line-up of
celebrities helping dancer and
theatre director Bonnie Lythgoe
mark her 70th. Among pals joining
them at The Ivy in central London
were singer Elaine Paige, The Chase
host Bradley Walsh, Strictly judge
Bruno Tonioli and actress Susan
George, who posted the photo on
Twitter saying: “Night to remember.”
Comic Joe Pasquale and model
Linda Lusardi also joined the group.
Why a good book can
still beat a TV box set
DESPITE the vast expansion in
TV channels and social media,
Britons will still read 696 books in
their lifetime, a study reveals.
The average adult will get
through 11 books every year, with
one in five reading every day.
They can get through two books
in a week-long holiday, with the
most popular genres being crime
42 per cent, thrillers 38 per cent
and drama 35 per cent.
Women’s favourite books are
more modern than men’s. They
include Gone Girl (published in
2012), The Girl On The Train
(2015) and Fifty Shades Of Grey
(2011). Among men’s top reads
are Nineteen Eighty-Four (1948),
Treasure Island (1882) and Lord
Of The Flies (1954). However, the
eBay study of 2,000 adults also
found that 42 per cent of people
are “too busy” to read.
Rob Johnson, of Wordery, eBay
UK’s online bookstore, said it
was “heartwarming” that reading
books “is still a hobby Britons
love, especially in the days of box
sets and instant viewing”.
